This is a part-time, 1099 contractor role with a predictable schedule — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM — no nights, weekends, or holidays. Patient volume is steady and manageable, with no more than 12 patients per day.
Compensation:

Responsibilities

Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed by physicians or APPs

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history

Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques

Assist in the management of acute pain and support patients undergoing treatment

Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of NCQA standards
Skills & Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina

Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks

Experience with IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and catheter care

Familiarity with critical care settings (ICU, trauma, emergency medicine) preferred

Strong patient education and communication skills

Experience in behavioral health, outpatient care, home infusion, or long-term care is a plus

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
