Billing Supervisor

The TANYR Billing Supervisor leads our team of billing specialists and supervises the day-to-day billing operations. This individual is versed in payor billing guidelines and understands the need to stay current on guidelines and regulatory updates. The Billing Supervisor has multifaceted experience in healthcare reimbursement and has a solid understanding of alternate site infusion process flow.  They are skilled at training and provide program subject matter expertise. The Billing Supervisor will analyze metrics to address trends and assess strengths of team members to assist in development and allocation of resources to assure team and client success.

The Billing Supervisor must be flexible and able to address varying needs and requests from team members to assess strengths of the team and allocate resources to assure client’s success.  They are self-motivated and think independently to take ownership of client requirements, seek input from the client, and then initiate change.  They have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and can identify and communicate payer trends and adhere to best practice billing guidelines.

The Supervisor is expected to complete the following monthly actions:

• Complete requisitions for new employees
• Interview, hire and train (or assign training)
• Recommend and approve pay increases, scheduling changes, and employee leave
• Timely review and approval of timecard punches and weekly timesheets
• Ongoing department training
• Weekly performance tracking and reviews
• Weekly quality tracking and reviews
• Employee discipline and timely follow-up
• Meet department and organizational SLAs
• Facilitate L10 meetings with staff
• Creates culture of accountability and ownership of results through clear expectations
